Terms and conditions of sale

1. Payment Terms

Trips must be paid in full at least 30 days before arrival. For advance bookings, a 30% deposit is due upon confirmation of the itinerary, with the balance due no later than 30 days before travelers arrive.

2. Travel Agency Liability

RIF PLANETE and its service providers — guided tours, excursions, accommodations, restaurants, meals, transportation — cannot be held liable for accidents, injuries, losses, damages, delays, or inconveniences arising from acts of the state or other civil authorities (war, riots, strikes, etc.), or from any other cause beyond RIF PLANETE’s control.

RIF PLANETE is not responsible for any losses or additional costs resulting from delays or schedule changes, regardless of cause.

RIF PLANETE and its service providers reserve the right to cancel or modify a trip in accordance with applicable law.

Flights and accommodations are confirmed once the deposit is paid. If a service becomes unavailable, it will be replaced with an equivalent.

3. Cancellation Terms

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to the local agency by email. Fees depend on timing:

  • More than 60 days before departure: 10% of the total, minimum €200
  • 59–30 days before departure: 25% of the total, minimum €300
  • 29–14 days before departure: 50% of the total
  • 15–9 days before departure: 75% of the total
  • Fewer than 8 days before departure, or no-show: 100% of the total
  • Cancellation or interruption during the trip: no refund — the full amount remains due to Rif Planète

If you carry cancellation insurance, these fees may be reimbursed under certain conditions. We strongly recommend cancellation and assistance insurance.

4. Accommodations

Accommodations are confirmed once the deposit is paid (with proof of transfer). If one becomes unexpectedly unavailable, it will be replaced with an equivalent — your agent will notify you as soon as possible.

5. Luggage and Personal Belongings

Luggage and personal belongings remain entirely the traveler’s responsibility. Keep valuables with you during transfers, excursions, and tours, and avoid bringing expensive or luxury-brand luggage. The agency is not liable for stains, damage, theft, or loss of luggage during transfers or at accommodations.

Tip: Get travel insurance that covers cancellation and lost luggage.

6. Passport and Visa

Check with the embassy or consulate of your destination country, in your country of residence, for required travel documents (national ID, passport, visa).

Some countries require a minimum remaining passport validity.

These requirements vary by destination and nationality and can change, so confirm them well ahead of your trip.

7. Insurance

Before your trip: We strongly recommend taking out insurance when booking. Cancellation insurance covers the financial risk if you’re forced to cancel.

If you cancel, local agencies can’t refund the full amount — they’ve already paid hotels, transport providers, and guides. Your refund depends on how close to departure you cancel (terms vary by local agency and are stated in your quote or booking form).

During your trip: Repatriation insurance covers you in case of an on-site accident, providing medical assistance and repatriation if needed.
